Plain English. Striking visuals.

Books, courses and visual explainers for difficult ideas.

I turn specialist knowledge into books, learning materials and short videos. From rough notes to finished files, I write in plain English and make the work look as good as it reads.

Ebooks for difficult subjects

Professional books and ebooks, written in plain English.

I write and design books for expert and lay audiences. I take dense source material, organise it logically and make it easy to understand. Then I produce finished files for both print and ebook readers.

  • Research and writing
  • Structure and editing
  • Visual design
  • Print-book and ebook formatting

See the capability

A difficult idea, shown clearly.

This short video explains how the Sharpe Ratio is used in finance. I researched it, wrote it and made the moving slides and audio.

Use your own voice and I can edit the audio. Or I can create a natural AI voice. Or, with clear permission, I can also clone your voice. The same approach can sit beside a handbook, workbook or CPD module.

Three ways I can help

Make your expertise clear, useful and ready to share.

You may start with a pile of notes, an existing course, or an idea that needs shape. I can take the work from there.

01

Books from start to finish

Ghostwriting, editing, design, print-book and ebook formatting, and help preparing a book for independent publication.

02

Courses people can use

Handbooks, workbooks, slides, CPD modules and facilitator notes that make a live course work outside the room.

03

Visual explainers

Research, scripts, moving slides, animation and audio. Use a client’s voice, an AI voice, or—where they give permission—a voice clone.

How a project works

A clear route from source material to finished work.

You do not need a polished brief. Bring the notes, recordings, slides or first draft. We agree the destination, then make the work in sensible stages.

01

Brief

We define the audience, purpose, format and what a useful finished piece needs to do.

02

Source material

I review what you already have and speak with the people who know the subject best.

03

Structure

I organise the material into a logical route that makes sense to the intended reader or learner.

04

Draft

I write, edit or script the work in plain, concrete English and share it for review.

05

Make it work visually

I design the pages, slides or moving visuals so the message is easier to understand and use.

06

Finished files

You receive polished files in the formats you need: print, ebook, PDF, video or course assets.

Typical project ranges

Enough scope to make a proper job of it.

A fixed proposal follows a short conversation and a look at the material. These ranges give a useful starting point.

Edit and restructure existing material

Bring order and plain English to dense notes, drafts or specialist documents.

£1,500–£3,500

Designed ebook, guide or workbook

Clear writing or editing, logical structure, visual design and finished digital files.

£3,000–£7,500

Substantial handbook or book

Research, writing, editing, design and files prepared for print and ebook readers.

£6,000–£15,000+

Short animated explainer

Research, script, moving visuals and clean, professionally edited audio.

£2,000–£5,000

Expert course to learning module

Handbook, workbook, slides, short visual explanation and facilitator materials as one coherent product.

£7,500–£15,000

Smaller, well-defined commissions are welcome. For time-intensive production work, I reserve focused production time once an initial retainer is paid; the remaining payments are agreed against clear milestones.

A strong fit if

You know your subject. You need help making it clear.

  • You have a book, guide, course or video in mind
  • Your notes or materials are good but hard to follow
  • You work in a specialist field and need plain English
  • You want one person to lead the work from first structure to finished files

Start with the rough version

Bring me the first draft. I’ll help you make the finished one.

Some briefs need one well-defined piece of work. Others need a full book, course or video. Send me your notes, deck, outline or rough recording, and I will set out the clearest way to make it.
